The objective of DF Consulting is to reduce human suffering caused by operator error in all modes of transportation. To that end, we conduct laboratory and field research on the effects of drugs and alcohol on human performance, we evaluate existing programs aimed at reducing driving while impaired by drugs or alcohol, and offer multidisciplinary expertise in human performance and impairment to various agencies and institutions.
DFC’s research focus is the interaction between humans and systems. We focus on factors that cause suboptimal human performance. We draw on a unique mix of knowledge and experience from the fields of Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, and Behavioral Toxicology.
DFC provides expert testimony in legal cases in which pharmacological, physical, or psychosocial variables are suspected to have contributed to one or more adverse events.
DFC trains professionals in the fields of Traffic Safety, Alcohol Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics, Research Methodology, and Data Analysis.
